Auto Type XVIII










More fabulous Auto Type from my travels, though I can't actually remember where these were taken. As ever they all have their charms, but it's the goofy, 'Rover 110' type that I'm drawn to the most - I think it's the R and the E, they seem almost hand drawn.

    That's because almost all car emblems are hand drawn. They are made with custom lettering, not fonts. That's what makes them so unique.

    You have some lovely examples here. Picked some of the best badges to shoot. I would love to add some to Chromeography if you don't mind.

    Thanks for the info Stephen and for stopping by. I did think most of the type was hand drawn, but they end up looking very slick and the Rover one still looks very raw - I like that though!
