Vintage VW Bus Signage





















These old VW buses are taken from the pages of an old dealer brochure over on Cartype. They have some great colour combos and some even greater signwriting - encompassing 2 of my favourite things, hand-painted signage and old Volkswagens!

    I once owned a 1956 VW Transporter, with doubled sided cargo doors. I lived in Memphis at the time. I was in the early stages of restoring it, when a VW convention came through town, and it got stolen from my parking lot (1992). If the web were around in those days I probably could have tracked it down through collector channels. I tell myself- finding and restoring another one is my retirement project.

    Chris - what a sad story! I do hope you get another one at some point. Saying that I heard a story recently of a split bus being found 30+ years after being stolen:
