French fashion house Celine, famous for their luxury clothing, handbags, accessories and footwear have created a 'resort wear' collection using the wonderful work of Charley Harper, as a tribute to the late illustrator.

Unfortunately the Celine website is under going a facelift at the moment, but I've found some of the items online here, here, here and here.

NO WAY! I was wondering if fashion would ever collide with Charley Harper - and here it is.
ReplyDeleteLovely birdy stuff. xx
p.s. find anything good in the post today???
I know how great are they? I can't find anywhere that sells those necklaces (apart from in Japanese!).
ReplyDeleteI did get something good in the post today - a lovely print - thank you. It arrived safely and I love your little business cards!
Ooooh, that's so great to see! BTW, last fall/winter, Old Navy [low-end US clothing retailer] had a line of Harper t-shirts in baby and toddler sizes. It seemed like they were in stores for a month or so, and then briefly on clearance, and then gone. I never saw them in person, but the designs seemed sort of lame -- iron-on-looking rectangles on white shirts.
ReplyDeleteThis, on the other hand, is a great integration of Harper's imagery onto the canvas of apparel! I love it and wish I could afford it.
