Bridges from around the world

Contrasty photography always does it for me and these gorgeous bridge images are no exception - they look so timeless in black and white.

Attracted by the romance and beauty of these fabulous structures, My Modern Met has collected together some of his favourite bridge images...

I'd love to know where that unknown Italian bridge is over the Po. I don't recognize it... We are thinking alike today, I just did a post on my favorite bridges in northern Italy.

Here's the link to the Flickr group where the original image was posted.

Someone comments that it's, "The mythical bridge Pò", but I guess that doesn't give you much more information. Thanks for stopping by :)

Hi! I'm Haku the author of the unknown bridge :)

Found this page from my flickr stats :)

First I'd like to thank you for choosing one of my images. Really I'm always amazed when someone likes something I've made!!

The bridge is called "Ponte di Cornale" (translate it as Cornales's Bridge) and it is built over the river Po in norther Italy! "Cornale" is a small village near the river and the "Po" river is the longest river in Italy.

Here is the google maps image.
